SOS Anna Wintour Forced With a Gun or Stiletto Her Head to Invite Strangers Into Her Office for $5,000 a Pop

0

SOS!

Vogue editor Anna Wintour has been forced by Conde Nast to invite strangers into her office.

Anna has sent a message — wearing sunglasses, possibly with a gun or stiletto to her head — on Instagram. She looks angry. She might be sending a message with her eyes but we can’t seem them. Still, her demeanor suggests that this is against her will.

Has she been taken hostage by Roger Lynch? (He’s the guy that runs Conde Nast, or what’s left of it.)

For $2,000 to $5,000 you can spend the day at Vogue this October trying on very small clothes or being reprimanded or maybe getting fired from a job you don’t have. From the tone of the message, it’s all very serious and troubling and disturbing.

Anna will only give opening remarks, then quickly decamp before anyone can ask her for a ticket to the Met Ball or even god forbid shake hands.

Trump Aims Lies at Biden on His Social Media Platform as Stock Drops to New Low Following DNC Celebration

0

Investors in Donald Trump’s Trump Media obviously got spooked last night.

With a rousing celebration of Joe Biden on the DNC’s first night, Trump Media stock has dropped to a new all time low.

As of 2:20pm, Trump stock for his Truth Social is at $21.70. That’s a dollar lower than yesterday, and 50 points lower than its beginnings earlier this year.

One reason for the drop is that Trump took to Truth Social today to attack Biden. This is called ‘not reading the room.’ It’s bizarre but no more bizarre than anything else Trump has done.

Every single word of Trump’s is a lie. Who would invest in this company?

Wacky Jack Schlossberg, JFK Grandson, Will Introduce Barack Obama Tonight at the DNC

0

Jack Schlossberg is taking time from paddleboarding to address the Democratic National Convention tonight.

Wacky Jack, 31, is famous for his nutty social media posts in which he sings, dances, and tries out various accents.

Schlossberg has no actual job, but serves as Kennedy grandson with aplomb.

He says on Instagram tonight he’ll precede former President Barack Obama on stage at the convention.

Will he sing? Will he dance? Will he try out accents? I sure hope so. Maybe he’ll rail against his eve nuttier cousin, Robert Kennedy Jr.

BOX OFFICE: “It Ends with Us” Hits $100 Million as Negative Publicity Starts to Pull it Down

0

It’s a remarkable achievement: Justin Baldoni’s “It Ends with Us” hit the $100 million mark last night.

Costing $55 million, the Blake Lively domestic drama has essentially broken even. International box office is another $82 million. So that’s all gravy.

But Monday’s receipts were down 55% from last Monday, so the novelty is wearing off. Still, “Ends” could end around $150 million.

Not bad considering all the negative publicity around the film. The director Baldoni is in a public conflict with Lively, although no one knows why exactly. The scuttlebutt is that Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds usurped power during the shoot. Now Baldoni and Lively can’t be seen in public together, don’t talk, and yadda yadda yadda.

Did the scandal turn audiences off? No, it seems to have fueled them. It makes you think they did this on purpose, and the controversy is contrived. But they’d all have to get Oscars if that’s the case.

New Official Poster for Coppola’s “Megalopolis” A Riff on or Rip Off of “Star Wars” Light Saber?

0

Talk about weird.

The new poster for Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” is either riffing on or ripping off a famous movie.

The only image is of Adam Driver holding an architect’s T square vertically.

But part of is lit up like a “Star Wars” light saber. May the farce be with you.

Driver, of course, starred as the villain Kylo Ren in the final three “Star Wars” movies. He’s best known for killing his father, the hero Han Solo, something most fans prefer not to think about.

It’s unclear how many people actually know what a T square is at this point. But they know a light saber.

Is it an inside joke — Coppola and “Star Wars” director George Lucas are old friends — or is it an actual rip off?

Of course, there’s another option — that the object is a lamp, lit up, but with a long base.

“Megalopolis” opens September 27th. It might play at the Telluride Film Festival. Advance reviews are mixed to negative. Coppola couldn’t get a distributor, so Lions Gate is doing the work although it’s like Coppola didn’t get any money from them.

This Hilarious 30 Year Old “Murphy Brown” Clip Explains Everything About the Republicans and Politics

0

This 30 year old scene from “Murphy Brown” should be in the TV Hall of Fame.

Wallace Shawn played Stuart Best, who was named for the two musicians essentially fired from the Beatles. Stu Sutcliffe and Pete Best were early players with John, Paul, and George but left before the group became insanely famous.

On “Murphy Brown,” Stuart had already been seen as a member of the FYI gang who was axed right after the faux “60 Minutes” like show began. Now he’s guilted Murphy into letting him be a guest in his new role as a bought and paid for congressman.

The people who got Stuart elected all have agendas, and they are hideous. But they’re the same as all the GOP congress people now. Just the talk of immigration — from three decades ago — shows that nothing has changed. The dialogue is so sharp, and explains everything you need to know about the Republicans and politics.

Trump Stock Price for Truth Social Lowest Since January as Stock Market is Way Up

0

The stock price of Trump Media fell to $22.56 at 12:30pm. Trump Media is the stock name for Truth Social, Trump’s failing social media business.

At the same time, the Dow is up almost 200 points and may finish the day at 41,000.

Trump’s company has no support after many crazy posts this weekend.

He posted a fake picture of Kamala Harris addressing Russians with a an arm and sickle prominently displayed.

He lied about Taylor Swift endorsing him.

With nothing to attack, Trump is now pushing the idea that Harris is a communist and a socialist, which are two diametrically opposed ideas. Will the state take over all businesses, or will wealth be private but evenly distributed? He doesn’t know.

Trump also goes after Kamala Harris’s father, a respected, published economist who could probably scare the heck out of him in debate on that subject.

Oprah Winfrey, Rosie O’Donnell Tribute Phil Donahue: “There wouldn’t have been an Oprah Show without Phil Donahue…he was a pioneer”

0

Oprah Winfrey and Rosie O’Donnell have posted tributes to Phil Donahue on Instagram.

She writes: “There wouldn’t have been an Oprah Show without Phil Donahue being the first to prove that daytime talk and women watching should be taken seriously. He was a pioneer. I’m glad I got to thank him for it. Rest in peace Phil.”

She’s right. Phil paved the way for Oprah’s success. The whole idea of wading into the audience and letting them participate — a signature Oprah move — was invented by Donahue. Also, bringing difficult subjects to the land of women’s television.

But Donahue was more than that. With his live broadcast at 9m from New York, Donahue covered breaking political news and anything else that needed immediate coverage. If something crazy had happened the day before, “Donahue” had it the next morning.

Legendary Broadcaster Phil Donahue Dead at 88, Live TV Trailblazer Who Set the Tone for Oprah, Ellen, Others

0

Phil Donahue has died at age 88 after a long illness.

I was lucky to know this TV legend, the last of the really classy journalists who could take even the most outrageous subject into something intelligent.

His “Donahue” show had a long run in Chicago before moving to New York in the 1980s. He was the ratings king at 9am on WNBC when he came on live with most current topics, celebrities, breaking news in an interview form with an audience.

Phil roamed around among his audience, asking questions of people on the stage and letting the audience do it, too. He was an immediate window into the news cycle. Even when the audience gasped, or voiced concern about people on the stage, Donahue kept things on an even keel.

The Donahue show was considered the gold standard in talk shows. If you could get an author, an actor, a politician on the show their message would be broadcast to the world instantly. He was the trailblazer for Oprah, Ellen, and all the hosts who followed in his footprints.

In real life, Phil was a real gentleman, soft spoken and thoughtful, and always engaged even when the show went off the air after 19 seasons. He had an incredible partner in his wife, actress Marlo Thomas, a real love story for the ages.

Condolences to Marlo and their whole family and wide circle of friends.

Pop Legend Frankie Valli, 90, Gets COVID Again, Cancels Shows But Vows to Return

0

Frankie Valli won’t let COVID get in his way.

The 90 year old legend announced today that he has COVID, and had to cancel a couple of shows.

But Frankie says he’ll be back on the road in late September for tour dates that will take him through next spring — at least!

Why is Frankie still doing gigs? Because he loves it. And the audiences love him. The Broadway musical, “Jersey Boys,” extended his career by 25 years.

Also, current pop group Maneskin reworked his hit, “Beggin’,” and got a top 10 hit out of it.

The songs of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, like most classic rock, pop, and R&B, stand the test of time!

Here’s to a speedy recovery, and Frankie getting the best care. He’s a national treasure.
