Actor Lance Reddick has died at age 60 from what’s reported as natural causes.
A popular, smart, and hard working actor, Reddick was a regular presence on TV for years. He starred in “The Wire” for its entire run on HBO.
Reddick was in all four “John Wick” movies and was promoting the new one this past week. TMZ says he was found in his apartment in Studio City this morning. He leaves behind a wife and children. Condolences to them all.
Among Reddick’s long list of credits beside “The Wire” with 60 episodes is “Lost”– he played Matthew Abbadon in four episodes. He was very cool and mysterious on screen, but when you saw Lance Reddick coming you knew something interesting was going to happen. His death is really tragic.
His friend, Wendell Pierce, posted to Twitter: “A man of great strength and grace. As talented a musician as he was an actor. The epitome of class. An sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family. An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend. You made your mark here. RIP”
