Justin Timberlake Cancels His Big NJ Show Tonight Because of Injury, Latest Pop Star with Ailments

Share

Justin Timberlake has just cancelled his show for tonight in Newark, NJ.

His tour brought him to the Prudential Center. But with two hours to go, JT says he has an “injury” and can’t make it.

He’s not the first pop act to cancel shows lately. New singer Gracie Abrams cancelled the third of three shows at Radio City Music Hall a few days ago because of a vocal problem. Her whole family including director dad JJ Abrams had flown in for the show.

In Europe, Chrissie Hynde has cancelled a bunch of Pretenders shows over the last couple of weeks.

As for Timberlake, his next date is October 11th in Philly. He should be better by then.

PS The concerts are important revenue for the acts since no one is selling records. Timberlake’s “Everything I Thought It Was” was a huge disappointment with just 265,000 copies sold including streaming.
