One day after Donald Trump was gagged from posting about people connected to his criminal case involving Stormy Daniels, he’s violated the order.
Trump has now posted an attack on Judge Juan Merchan and his daughter. This is especially alarming since the families of judges have been victims of capital crimes in the last few years.
But Trump has no boundaries. Some say he’s exhibiting dementia, but I doubt it. He knows exactly what he’s doing. The ruling orders Trump to “refrain” from “making or directing others to make public statements about known or reasonably foreseeable witnesses concerning their potential participation” in the falsifying business records case, as well as about individual prosecutors, court staff members, jurors and potential jurors.
The judge did not include himself or his family directly. But the judge is a “court staff member.” And his daughter would be included by extension. Of course, no reasonable person would assume that a former president of the United States, on trial in a criminal matter, would do such a thing.
Will Trump ever be punished for a violation? Stay tuned…
