Harrison Ford is not having a great week.
He and Helen Mirren and their drama, “1923,” were not nominated for any Emmy Awards. He was also snubbed for his comedy acting in “Shrinking.”
Come on!
Ditto Kevin Costner and anyone for “Yellowstone” season 5 part 1.
Also ignored in the main categories: “Lord of the Rings” series at Amazon, which cost a reported $450 million. They did get below the line nominations for crafts, which is nice, but no Best Drama or Acting, or Writing.
Selena Gomez wasn’t acknowledged for “Only Murders in the Building.” This is a mistake.
Season Four of “Stranger Things” — which was entirely unnecessary — also got no major noms. The Netflix show has run its course.
The big winners are “Succession,” “White Lotus,” “The Last of Us,” and “Ted Lasso.”
Really surprising: “Poker Face” didn’t make Best Comedy although star Natasha Lyonne made it in. Such a great show. Instead, “Jury Duty” got the spot and James Marsden was nominated for playing himself — he’s very funny.
