Jared Kushner is denying everything in a book excerpt just published in Vanity Fair.

He’s adamant, too. Kushner says of Matthew Cole’s book: “The allegations made by this author are completely insane and never happened. We denied every one of these claims on the record, yet the author failed to provide a single shred of evidence to substantiate any of them. No bank statements, wire transfer records, account numbers, transaction dates, or other verifiable details were provided to support these extraordinary accusations.”

Cole’s book is called “Princes and Thieves: Jared Kushner and Mohamed bin Zayed’s Secret Plot to Remake the Middle East.” It’s published on October 27th by Simon & Schuster’s Atria division, which is not the same as S&S that gives us Bob Woodward’s books, for example.

The book is all about Kushner’s involvement in the Middle East, particularly the UAE, which was discovered when Kushner’s phone was hacked in 2020. It examines, according to Vanity Fair, “how bank accounts linked the president’s son-in-law—and former senior adviser—to Israel, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.”

Kushner recently rejoined Twitter to rebut things he didn’t like written about him. It’s possible he did it because he knew this book was coming. And now he’s on the warpath.

Vanity Fair is emphasizing book excerpts more than using original reporting, which is far more expensive. The gamble is great because book publishers don’t vet as thoroughly as magazines and newspapers do, which can often lead to trouble.

We’ll see where this goes from here.

Showbiz411 is now in its 13th year of providing breaking and exclusive entertainment news. This is an independent site, unlike the many Hollywood trades that are owned by one company. To continue providing news that takes a fresh look at what's going on in movies, music, theater, etc, advertising is our basis. Reader donations would be greatly appreciated, too. They are just another facet of keeping fact based journalism alive.
