Emmy Winner Jean Smart Urges Hollywood Not to Have Any More Awards Shows After Fires

Multiple awards winner Jean Smart, star of “Hacks,” has posted an urgent notice to Instagram.

She wants the various TV networks not to broadcast awards shows this winter. Instead, she says, give the money to LA firefighters and police.

Smart is up for Critics Choice and SAG awards this winter. I guess she’s not going to either ceremony despite the fact she’s going to win. She just won a Golden Globe.

Well, the networks could make large donations to police and fire organizations, and groups like Project Angel Food, and animal rescue. No Oscars, Jean? I think they will go with a low key offering this year.
