Box Office: “Spider Man 8” Climbs Back to Number 1, Knocking Off “Scream 5”:

Spider Man, Spider Man does whatever aisĀ  spider can.

In this case, “Spider Man: No Way Home” does the unexpected and climbs back to number 1 with a $14 million weekend. The 8th Spider Man movie knocked off “Scream 5,” which did a respectable $12 million but finished second.

“No Way Home” is now comfortably lodged at number 4 on the all time box office list with $721 million. It has $40 million to go to over take “Avatar” at number 3.

The rest of the box office is uneventful. Something called “The King’s Daughter” opened on over 2,000 screens and made just $750,000. So much for that whatever it was.

“The King’s Man” is stalling at $31 million. Luckily it’s made $73 million abroad. How do you like that? They loved it in South Korea, France, and Mexico the most. Go figure.

PS The “Spider Man” success has not crossed over for Zendaya in her HBO series, “Euphoria.” The series had 279,000 viewers last week on HBO Prime. The series is rated for adults and everyone over my age for being X rated and sort of ridiculous. If high school were really just a sex party, everyone would go back immediately!
