Hugh Jackman, Broadway Houdini: I Told Readers Three Years Ago

Wow. Big announcement today that Hugh Jackman will play Harry Houdini on Broadway in 2013/2014. However: I broke that story THREE YEARS ago. Now it seems that Kurt Andersen has been replaced by Aaron Sorkin for the book, and Danny Elfman has been scuttled for Stephen Schwartz. That’s entertainment! Jackman, coming off a record shattering Broadway run, has been working on “Houdini” for over three years. He’s planning on doing Houdini’s famous tricks himself, so it’s taken some time to get it all right.
